Description
* We have received reports that bulk carrier, OBAHAN C (IMO: 9748253) was in a collision with bulk carrier NORD SINGAPORE (IMO: 9913535) whilst navigating the Parana River in a position off Ramallo, Argentina on 28 August 2024.
* NORD SINGAPORE is a bulk carrier having a gross tonnage of 26,155 tonnes and was sailing in-bound to San Lorenzo in ballast condition at the time of the incident.
* It is reported that the OBAHAN C sustained serious structural damage to the port side as a consequence of the collision and currently remains at anchor off Ramallo for inspection.
* It is possible that General Average and Recovery issues may arise as a result of this incident.
